Set in the heart of the Dordogne this secluded B&B (Bed and Breakfast,Chambres d'hotes or Guest house) makes a perfect setting for a peaceful holiday, or as a base for cycling, walking, golf, artists and general tourist attractions. The ancient town of Perigueux is just 40 minutes drive away and has history dating back to Roman times. For china and porcelain Limoges china outlets at Saint Yrieix la Perche are just a 20 minute drive. The Dordogne is renowned for it's beautiful countryside has lots of marked routes for walking, cycling or horse riding. There are plenty of attractions to visit and it is a great canvas for artists.
If its just a chilling out holiday you want then you can relax by the pool under a shady umbrella and enjoy the peace and quiet that the garden offers.
The house has plenty parking, indoor for motorcycles, and is ideally situated to use as a base for those of you house hunting. We also offer reasonably priced general storage, domestic storage, long or short term storage facilities for your furniture and caravan storage should you require it.
All our bedrooms are en suite and we have a family apartment on the first floor, with a separate room for children. We can cater for overnight stopovers or weekly holidays - just e mail your details and we will see what can be arranged. Guests have their own breakfast and dining areas inside and out as well as a BBQ covered terrace.
Continental breakfast is included in the price and consists of fruit juice, cereals, yoghurt, freshly warmed croissants with organic home made jams from our garden or locally produced honey, tea/coffee or hot chocolate and a selection of seasonal fruit from the garden and local market.
Locally we can arrange horse riding, cycling and water sports as well as some serious walking. We have a man made beach on a lake with lifeguarded supervised swimming and sailing 15 minutes away. Guests have use of the swimming pool which is protected with security fencing for the safety of young children.
We do provide traditional four course evening meal with wine at a fixed cost or we can arrange a BBQ as a cheaper informal alternative. Other variations are available on request to suit all budgets and dietary needs as well as packed lunches if you are planning a day trip.
We will make your visit as comfortable as we can and if you need something the chance is we can probably provide it!
